Sean Tvelia
BOARD MEMBER
Sean Tvelia, Treasurer, is a co-founder of Hamptons Observatory. He received a B.S. in chemistry from SUNY Oneonta and an M.S. in hydrogeology from Stony Brook University. Sean is Executive Dean of Suffolk County Community College’s Ammerman Campus, where he also is a professor of geology and chemistry, and is active in its astronomy program. He acquired and maintains the college’s robotic observatory, which is located on the Riverhead campus, and was pivotal in the establishment of the observatory on the Ammerman campus. Sean is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society.
