On October 11th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Hamptons Observatory will hold a star party to celebrate the opening of the exhibit, “New Space,” by artist Jonathan Nash Glynn whose large, acrylic paintings were inspired by the breathtaking images captured by the Hubble and the James Webb space telescopes. The free, in-person exhibit will be held rain or shine at the Bridgehampton Museum’s Corwith House. All are invited to attend the exhibit and, weather permitting, to enjoy looking at the night sky through the telescopes of Hamptons Observatory; feel free to bring your own telescope as well.

Hamptons Observatory is pleased to join the Bridgehampton Museum for the opening of the solo exhibit, “New Space,” by local artist Jonathan Nash Glynn. Glynn describes his latest work as "large acrylic paintings inspired by the breathtaking images captured by the Hubble and Webb space telescopes, which also inspired me to explore my own inner space, searching for what art means to me."

In celebration of the exhibition’s celestial themes and, as an extension of the evening’s artistic expression, the event includes a special stargazing experience presented by Hamptons Observatory (weather permitting) from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Feel free to bring your own telescope and join us in observing the night sky.

”New Space” will be on view through October 25th. Admission to the opening reception and star party are free and open to the public.

Jonathan Nash Glynn’s career spans nearly five decades. He has exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Detroit Institute of Arts; and the State University of New York Museum on Long Island, New York.

Additionally, his work has been featured at numerous private galleries across the United States.

Hamptons Observatory extends its deepest thanks to the Bridgehampton Museum for its kind collaboration.
