Time Machines and Spaceships: The Search for Life (A Free, Virtual Lecture)

The image above (credit: NASA) is of OSIRIS-REx: the Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer, which is managed by the Goddard Space Flight Center. It is the craft that returned samples from the near-Earth asteroid Bennu, which is a carbon-rich asteroid that records the earliest history of our Solar System and which may contain the molecular precursors to the origin of life and the Earth's oceans. Our speaker, Dr. Heather Graham, is one of the scientists working on the OSIRIS-REx project and studying the samples from Bennu.
